Kharlovka week 29 starting 17 July

Kharlovka guests released 37 salmon (+1) fish. Why +1? Well… one fish was out of the standings, but it is simply impossible not to mention it, since it was the largest fish recorded in the fishing book last week. Helmut caught it on the upper Kharlovka when fishing for trout. The fish weighing 25 pounds became the largest of the catches on the week.

The largest fish caught by one of the three lucky guest who managed to make it to camp was the fish caught by Bogdan (22lbs). Despite the fact that Bogdan had no experience in fly fishing and that he arrived to the camp only on Tuesday, he managed to catch 10 fish. A great result for a beginner! Bogdan was so impressed that he had to fight with his 22 lber for as long as 7 minutes, that we decided not to upset him with the fact that it is indecently small for Atlantic salmon fishing). Let it be a discovery for him on his next fishing trips.

Our guests from the UK, Charles and Ian, caught and released 27 fish, the best of which were fish weighing 14 pounds for both fishermen. A morning to remember for Ian in the Rugged Rock pool on the Eastern Litza river!

They also caught a lot of pink salmon! It baited at almost every cast, making fishing incredibly active! - and despite the fact that they had to get wet in the rain for the last few days, guests were rewarded for their efforts!
