The ASR learned last week that Peter Power passed away on February 2, 2022.

His name is inextricably linked with our northern rivers and the Kola region, where Peter spent so many years building a unique world in which nature and care for it came first.

Peter was a completely extraordinary person, strong-willed, and cheerful. He managed to unite around him a huge number of like-minded people, earning their deep respect, love and trust. For guests, he was a hospitable host, a brilliant storyteller, a cheerful conversationalist. For employees - a sensitive and fair mentor.

You can probably say that Peter Power was among those who brought and then developed fly fishing in Russia. It is impossible to overestimate his contribution to the development of the tourism industry of the whole region. Several hundred fly-fishers come to Kharlovka and his beloved Rynda every year, sharing the conviction that these places are the mecca of salmon fishing.

However, Peter has created something more than just a successful enterprise with the highest level of service. Having put his soul into these places and people, he created AtlanticSalmonReserve - a unique world that attracts with an atmosphere of camaraderie and love for nature.

This is an incredible loss, but Peter Power will forever be remembered, and we will do everything possible to continue his work and preserve this world for future generations.
