Biggest Fish of the Week: 8.5kg (18.7lbs), caught at Kharlovka, Julian Pool

The 2025 season at Kharlovka officially opened on May 31st. Six guests were the first to arrive at camp, later joined by two more. Despite a delay in departure due to the closure of the sky, some of the team were able to get out on the water on the first day. There was fresh salmon on the right bank of the Julian, estimated at around 7kg.

Weather conditions varied from thick fog in the mornings to summer sun by the end of the week. The turning point was June 2: the first official fresh salmon of the season was caught on the East Litsa, Snowbank pool - 8 kg (17.6 lb).

On June 4, a fish weighing 5.5 kg (12.1 lb) was caught on the East Litsa in the Military zone. On June 5 - another fish weighing 5.8 kg (12.8 lb) in the same area. During the same period, a 4 kg Osenka was caught on Olenya river.

Also on June 5, the first fresh fish of the season was caught on Kharlovka, Julian pool - 8.5 kg (18.7 lb). Later, a silver fish was lost on the Barrel.

June 6 brought two fresh salmon: 5.8 kg (12.8 lb) and 6 kg (13.2 lb), both on the East Litsa Snowbank pool.

The mighty Kharlovka is starting to come into shape. The water and level are stabilizing, the pools are becoming more accessible, and the mood in the camp is confidently optimistic.
