Kharlovka report, week 24 (7-13 June 2025)
The second full week of the season brought a great mix of action, challenges, and classic northern moments. The weather ranged from calm and sunny to cold and windy, with water levels gradually dropping from 96 to 64, opening access to the upper beats. Air temperatures ranged from +8 to +15 °C, and water temperatures from 8.1 to 10.3 °C.
Mid-week brought tough conditions — wind, chill, even a wave of colds in camp — but spirits stayed high. Catching quality salmon in these wild conditions is always a special reward, and this week delivered plenty of those.
Every one of the 9 guests managed to hook up — including several first-time Atlantic salmon anglers, making their first fish even more memorable. There was a total of 33 salmon landed on the week.
🐟 Three standout fish of the week:
28.6 lbs (approx. 13 kg) from Home Pool, Kharlovka
25 lbs (approx. 11.3 kg) from Home Pool, Kharlovka
20 lbs (approx. 9 kg) from Rock Pool, Kharlovka
Fishing was productive across the system — from the lower pools to the falls. The river was alive with movement: fish were seen jumping, running, and occasionally taking well-presented flies.
The river is in excellent shape, and the best is still ahead.
