The past week turned out to be strong and highly productive. From the very beginning, it was clear that the fish were running, and both rivers — the Kharlovka and the Eastern Litza — were delivering fresh fish in a steady rhythm.
A highlight came on a day when two trophy salmon were landed on both rivers: Rodion took a 13.8 kg (30.4 lbs) fish at the Kharlovka Waterfall, and Maxim landed a 13.3 kg (29.3 lbs) fish at the Snezhka pool on the Eastern Litza. Just a few days later, Maxim caught the biggest fish of the week — a 15.3 kg (33.7 lbs) salmon from Upper Tent.
Despite colder temperatures and occasionally challenging takes, the guests kept their focus, and the guides worked with precision. Nearly everyone caught fish, and many of those were over 9 kg.
As the water temperature slowly dropped and levels continued to recede, access to the key holding pools improved each day. The weather remained cool, but spirits in the camp stayed high throughout.
All in all, a memorable and action-packed week. With both rivers now in full rhythm, we can confidently say the season is well underway.
