Kharlovka Week 24 report (10-17 June 2023)

Morning air temperature range: 8.1C – 19.4C
Water temperature range: 6.3C – 10.7C
Water level has dropped from 77 cm to 33.
Number of rods: 13
Total for the week: 107 fish

The biggest fish of the week – 39-pouder (17.5 kg) landed by Rashid on the Eastern Litza Snow bank.

Expectations were high from the very first day. There were two teams: a team of experienced anglers and young bold fresh blood. It was clear from the first day that the fishing will be exciting and we could only hope for the favourable weather conditions.

The first to set the bar in terms of fish size was Maxim who landed a 27 pounds (12 kg) salmon on Barrel pool.

However on the same day at the Canyon Rashid took some great pictures of a beautiful 30-pounder which became his new personal best.

Pavel was fishing on the Eastern Litza Tent pool. A legendary place that always gives anglers memorable emotions and good fish. Pavel landed a bright silver male salmon of 17.5 lb (7.8 kg) weight.

As if Vasily knew about his friend’s success and caught exactly the same sized salmon on Kharlovka Falls.

The weather changed several times during the week. Sun, cloudy sky, and strong wind knocked us off our feet and challenged the casts.

One of the toughest days when the wind was 12-15 m/s and up to 20 m/s in gusts we’ve heard a news on the radio that “a big one was caught”.

Alexandr and Rashid were fishing from both sides of the Snow Bank pool. The fish was seen closer to the right bank. Strong wind was challenging the fishing a lot – the cast was possible only in short periods in-between the gusts - standing deep in the water. When the fish was in the net Sasha almost fell over because of the strong wind gust however the trophy was landed!

One more 35+ ring!

A trophy Atlantic salmon of 39lb (17.5 kg) weight, 117 cm length and 65 cm girth was landed on Sun Ray fly with the help of Sasha the guide.

Our congratulations to Rashid with this wonderful trophy!

Thanks to all our guests for their smiles and emotions. A memorable and very dynamic week that will remain in our common history!
