Artyom and Mikhail tickled nerves on Kharlovka Falls fishing with surface flies. Artyom excelled by landing a great salmon of 17.5lb (8 kg) weight.

Yury accompanied by the guide Sasha managed to hunt down a big one on the Rugged Rock pool. Attempts to catch it on surface flies were unsuccessful however they made the residents quite angry. Yury changed the fly for a Micky Pearson and got a powerful take on the first cast. Minutes of the battle passed by quickly and finally the trophy was in the net – a salmon of 38lb (17.2 kg) weight and 119 cm length was landed on the Rugged Rock on the Eastern Litza.

The fish is caught from both banks on the legendary Kharlovka home pool. And this year the situation when both anglers have a take at the same time is not rare.

Irakly broke his personal best twice this week and his biggest salmon was hooked on the lower Kharlovka. Guide Pasha noticed the fish coming up for a fly, coordinated the actions of the angler and literally after a couple of casts there was a take. They quickly took a picture of a nice male salmon of 25.4 lb (11.5 kg) and gently released it back to the river. You should approach your fish of the lifetime gradually however the bar for the next year will be high.

See you soon!
