Kharlovka Week 30 report (22-29 July 2023)

This week was truly special – it showed us how unpredictable and amazing the fishing on the Kola peninsula could be.

It’s all about the weather. The forecasts of meteorologists promised us rain for the whole week but nature decided differently. The rain arrived only by the end of the week while the fog and low water level provided our fishing with the special charm of unpredictability.

We were glad to meet new guests in our camp. There were even those who came to Kola peninsula for the first time. Together we went to an amazing adventure full of unpredictable twists and unforgettable moments.
Sergey decided to test his fly-fishing skills. Dream pool on the Eastern Litza is famous for its generosity for the fly-fishing beginners. Sergey was learning fly-fishing under the guidance of our experienced guide and managed to land a wonderful salmon of 15.8 pounds (7kg) weight which was carefully released back to the river after a short photo session. A decent reward for persistence and hard work.

On the second day of their adventure on the eastern Litza Matvey and Alexandr made their trip unforgettable. The fight with 34.4-pound (15.kg) salmon will leave Matvey with the lasting impression and we are sure that he will return to our rivers to catch even bigger trophies and improve this already remarkable result.

Week totals: 12 rods and 136 landed salmon. It was a great result for the group of the fly-fishing beginners! Each guest of this week gained a valuable experience and life-time memories.

We invite you to join us and become a part of our fishing history on the Kola peninsula.
