Rynda fishing report for week 25 ending Friday 24th June

Morning Air temps ranged from: 4C to 19C
Water temps ranged from: 6C to 9C
Water levels dropped slowly and are still flowing 1-2 weeks higher than normal.
Best of the week: 25 lbs (11.3kg) from Zolotaya, Jeremy pool.
Total: 37 fish

The Rynda had an enjoyable and productive first week of the season for a small group of mostly beginner fly fishers. Following a cool start with cold temps, the conditions warmed midweek with the salmon rising to surface flies and Sun Rays. With water levels flowing slightly higher than normal, the fishing was concentrated below the first Rynda Falls. We also noted that the salmon were in fantastic shape.

Highlights included:

The first guests to the Rynda were greeted by early spring conditions including winds from the north, rain, and cold air temp of 4C. The newcomer Maxim landed a fat perfect 22 pound (10kg) personal best in the Sea Pool to start the week. Welcome to the Rynda!

Alexey with a perfect 19 pounder (8.6kg) that was landed on a Willie Gunn in the Rynda Home pool.
The Rynda river temp was 9C with the salmon starting to switch onto hitched surface patterns.

The Zolotaya was also productive. Max (above) and Rupert (below) with solid 16 pounders. The largest fish of the week from the Zolotaya was a 25 pounder that managed upon release to get away without a photo.

While most of the fishing was concentrated below the first Falls at the Rynda lodge - Max did locate a nice 22 pound salmon exploring up at the second Falls pool.

The Rynda salmon have been in excellent shape this season!
