Rynda fishing report for week 26 ending Friday 1st July

It was a mostly chilly week.

Water temp were 14C in the beginning, 10C in the midweek and 14C in the end of the week.

The water level was still high with the most productive fishing below the first Rynda falls at the Home Pool and Rock Island.

Total - 43 salmon.

7 of them from Zolotaya.

There was a small group of 4 rods including 2 that have been fishing Rynda several times and 2 new comers who had not previously fished for salmon.

There was a humorous competition among the group.

Max (first time fishing for Atlantic Salmon) won all 3 prices:

Best fish of the week - 20 lbs

The biggest quantity of fish caught - 12 salmon

The biggest quantity of fish lost - 19 salmon.

Some other highlights included:

The Rynda salmon have been in excellent shape this season!
Our new friend Max had a great week landing his first dozen Atlantic salmon ever!
Photos of a couple of pristine 20 and 17 pounders that were landed on Golden Killers on the lower Rynda.
