Kharlovka report, Week 29 (12-18 July 2026)
Week 29 delivered an outstanding and action-packed fishing experience for our guests. Despite changing weather conditions and steadily dropping water levels, Atlantic salmon remained active throughout the week, rewarding anglers with memorable takes and exciting fights.
The highlight of the week was more than 115 salmon caught and safely released. Every fish was carefully unhooked and returned to the river under our strict catch-and-release policy, ensuring the sustainability of this exceptional fishery.
The week was marked by several remarkable achievements. Denis became the undisputed star of the week by landing the two biggest salmon of his life. First, he caught an outstanding 14.3 kg Atlantic salmon, which became not only his personal best but also the largest fish of Week 29. Later in the week, Denis added another magnificent fish weighing 12.2 kg, making this an unforgettable week of personal milestones.
Our newcomers also celebrated impressive successes. Karen achieved a new personal best by landing a beautiful 6 kg Atlantic salmon, while Evgeny finished the week with his own personal record—a 5 kg salmon. Their achievements once again proved that every angler has a chance to land the fish of a lifetime on our rivers.
Special congratulations go to Yury Yu., who landed a magnificent 11 kg Atlantic salmon, setting a new personal best. This impressive fish became one of the week's standout catches and a well-deserved reward for his skill and persistence.
The week featured many other memorable catches as well. Andrey twice landed the largest fish of the day, first an 8 kg salmon and later an impressive 12 kg salmon. Many guests enjoyed consistent success throughout the week, with several anglers landing two, three, or even five salmon in a single day.
The most productive flies included GK, Sunray, Undertaker, Green Highlander, Mark's Special, Francis, Hitch, Cascade, and Green Butt. The most successful pools were Ledge, Dream, Rugged, Rapids, Classic, Barrel, Rock, Julian, Island, Doubletaker, Zolotoy, Snezhka, and Kuvshin, where many of the week's best fish were hooked.
Week 29 once again demonstrated how rewarding salmon fishing on the Kola Peninsula can be. Trophy Atlantic salmon, numerous grilse, personal bests, and outstanding achievements by first-time guests combined to make these seven days one of the most memorable weeks of the season.
